OVERVIEW

Ever wanted to try oil painting but do not know where to start ? This is the perfect introduction to studio based oil painting. Starting with the basics of paint handling, palette arrangement and how to build an underpainting. This class will give you a taste of working with oils and will be able to walk away with an oil painting on canvas.  Lead by one of our highly experienced and knowledgeable instructors in oil painting you will learn skills through demonstrations and one on one instruction.

Where ?

This studio class will be taught in our beautiful hidden Neukölln attic studio in the heart of the Neukölln art district far from the bustle of the street. Some people describe the space as a hidden  500 year old Florentine  workshop. The space is roughly 100 years old and perfect place to focus on painting.

What do I need to bring ?

Just yourself and some creative energy plus clothed you dont mind getting dirty, springs are provided and haus slippers. There is a lunch break so if you would like to bring some food with you feel free. Materials included but are not limited to a generous array of excellent quality dry colours in pastels, oil paints, canvases, panels, solvents, mediums, pencils and charcoal, paints, ink and various types of paper all chosen by the artist and provided by the Burnt Sienna studio inclusive of the fee.
